This website is an offshoot of the weather pages posted on the Oroville, Washington, Chamber of Commerce website and was born March 9, 2011. Approaching 12 years of service to the community!

We have appreciated the opportunity to be able to post said information and data on the Chamber website as a service to the community for over the previous eleven + years.

We provide this website as a part of the CoCoRaHS weather data collection network.

This website is usually updated daily around 6:30 a.m. with basic information. Monthly pages are updated daily and precipitation as it happens. The charts were updated at a minimum of 3 times a week.

Oroville is located just four miles south of the Canadian border on Highway 97. We are in a semi-arid climate. Prior data reflected average precipitation at between 10.5 to 11.5 inches. Highest: 28.20 inches in 2022-23. Lowest: 4.58 inches in 2002.

Some 17 miles to the northeast is Molson at 3,700 feet above sea level while Oroville is at  950 feet. Eder Mountan, the light beacon for the Dorothy M. Scott Memorial Airport NE of Oroville is at approximately 1964 feet or 900 feet above the runway. The runway is at 1064 feet.

To the northwest one rises in elevation on the Loomis - Oroville Road to the old MOVLW1 weather station at 1357 feet as you travel to Knighthawk and Chopaka, a border crossing into Canada.
